Dave's biggest passion in life is marketing. In fact, he loves marketing so much, he started two companies focused solely on elevating marketing teams.
After receiving his Operations Research degree, Dave quickly realized he could use it to test, scale, and optimize digital marketing programs. And, it’s worked. He has seen the macro and micro trends that adjust both small and large companies, and strongly believes with the world only getting more fragmented and complicated, ad testing is critical when it comes to building successful global brands.
Dave has 20 years of marketing experience under his belt. Before starting Jove, Dave was CMO (and employee #3) at Zulily, an e-commerce company that went from $0 to $1.5B in just six years. It was while there he discovered that scale brought worse results to almost every single step in the marketing chain. This led him to start New Engen, a digital marketing company, to help SMB and enterprise businesses switch the dynamic from third-party publishers and platforms to the brands themselves.
When Dave’s not ad testing, you can find him taste-testing different craft beers around Seattle, spending time with his wife and kids, and geeking out on Marketing podcasts.
